Kleine Spitskolen & Spruiten

“Kleine Spitskolen & Spruiten” is a story about a Surinamese woman who arrived in the Netherlands in 1973 and encountered Brussels sprouts for the first time in a supermarket. Through a comedic lens, I aimed to capture the humorous yet relatable experience of moving to a new country. The visuals are inspired by an interview I had with the grandmother of a close friend, bringing her personal story to life in a playful and engaging way.
