For this exhibition, I created a new series titled Gowtu ,Sranan Tongo (Surinamese) for “gold”. Through 3D illustration, this series explores the beauty and symbolism of traditional Surinamese jewelry. It served as both a cultural and technical deep dive: an opportunity to reconnect with my Surinamese roots as someone of mixed heritage, while also pushing my practice in 3D design and visual storytelling.
Being able to present this work as part of SEEN, alongside friends and fellow artists, was incredibly special. It affirmed the power of collective creativity, and I’m excited to keep building from here.
